Dr. Akindayomi has had an illustrious working career in Community Paediatrics Consultation; Child Development; Service provision Administration and Management for the last twenty years. She has been responsible for the development, supervision, fund raising and management of the Children’s Developmental Centre, as well as design service provision for families raising children with developmental disabilities in Nigeria.

20 years or more has seen Dr Yinka Akindayomi champion not only disability as it concerns intellectual disabilities; under the umbrella of Developmental Disabilities, but the issues of Mental Health Disorders. Her Campaigns and Advocacy programmes have covered thousands here and internationally, concerning the subject of stigma and service provision. She has had numerous TV and Radio appearances concerning Human Rights and Disabilities.

Recently, she has been recognized as a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and a Certified Management Consultant(CMC), winning numerous awards in the Disability and Humanitarian space.
